Have You Met the Minnesota Woman, Nimuué?

A Universal Place for Preserving the Lady of the Lakes and her Legacy

Welcome to the official website for the Glacial Minnesota Woman Organization (GMWO).

Discovered in 1931 on a construction site in Pelican Rapids, the Minnesota Woman – now named Nimuué – is one of the oldest skeletal remains found in North America. Our organization is dedicated to sharing her story and preserving her legacy which dates back to our glacial prehistoric origins.
